The city seal of Trelleborg anno 1400
Most larger cities were fortified in some way and Trelleborg was no exception. The stone walls surrounding the city are long gone and any trace of a castle has vanished. There is’nt any real proof that a castle was situated within the walls or outside for that matter but when looking at the old city seal from the 14th century you can’t help but wonder and the mind wanders. I’d like to think that there was a castle that defended the city.
