Aggarps mill

Aggarps mill was built in 1896 and is a Hollandish model mill. There once stood  a much simpler and primitive mill here but it was torn down when the farmers needed more productivity. The use of the mill stopped in 1951.

Fru Alstads church

 

This beautiful church is called “the notre dame of the plains” and was built in the 14th century. I really need to take more trips outside!, i’ve been couped up in my home taking macros for too long now : )

Maglarps old church

This church is one of Scanias oldest brick churches. It was built in the 1200th century. I was baptised in this church : )

Mogenstrup 1678

Månstorps gavlar or Mogenstrup in it’s original danish name was burnt down in a fierce war between Denmark and Sweden in 1678. This is a romantic photomanipulation displaying the remains of this ruin and it’s surroundings.

Lakeside light

Here is another view from Björkesåkrasjön, after driving though Sweden-Scanias Banjoland i finally got to the lake. The surrounding area was really scary, Lovecraftian even. The remoteness and sheer impossibility to get to the lake made it my next target to get there by bike and by a different road!. Now there’s a challenge. 

Castle hill

There once stood a mighty castle on this hill, no excavations have been made here so very little is known about the ruin. Lots of ornamented bricks is scattered throughout the area.

Lemmeströ churchruin

This beautiful ruin dates back to the 1200 century. And sometime in the 1700 century they tore this church down to build a new one down the road.

Björkesåkrasjön

This lake is really hard to get to. The roads are either private or overgrown by nature. Finally yesterday by breaking some rules and driving on some seriously remote “road” i got to the lake. I could’nt find the remnants of a castle thats suppose to be there but the lake is big so the next time i’m there i will have to wade through some swampy woods.
